Katherine is a young actress and musician based in Perth, WA. Starting only in 2015 in Film & Television, Katherine has had the privilege of appearing in several films, including: ‘Imperfect Quadrant’ and ‘Misguided’, as well as the stage musical ‘EVITA’.
Prior to pursuing acting, Katherine trained as a National swimmer throughout high school, and attended WA’s Gifted and Talented school, as part of the Academic, Music, and Drama program. At age 16, whilst attending an acting course, Katherine was referred to an agent through the head tutor, and since then has had the opportunity to train and be a part of several productions, and artistic projects.
This year, Katherine was selected, as one of 5, to train at NIDA as part of the Advanced Actors Residency course, with tutors: Ian White (Packed To The Rafters, Winter) and Netta Yashchin (Red-Caped Crusader). She has also had the privilege of training at Nicholson’s Academy of Screen Acting, under Fern Nicholson (RADA), as well as be tutored by Donald Woodburn, Claudia Alessi, and Renato Fabretti through WAYTCo (WA Youth Theatre Company).
In late 2015 Katherine was offered a position in the incredibly competitive Bachelor of Arts (Acting) course at The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and she begins studies early 2016.
Being a young woman who has grown up in an era where values of equality, and issues of gender discrimination have reached the younger generation with prevalence; Katherine feels the story of Daughter is something that will resonate with a large audience, and is a story that she is both passionate and humbled to be a part of.
